Did Thornton Play an Unregistered Player? |

 Following last week's defeat for Brighouse Rangers open age 2nd team at home to Thornton, it has been alledged by a Bradford Amateur Rugby League official that the player who was dismissed from the field of play late on in the match was not the player who was down on the official team sheeet.
Prop Nicky Barraclough recieved a blow to the head from the opposing players forehead which lead to him requiring urgent medical attention but it is alledged that the player in question was actually over the other side of Bradford at the time watching Clayton!
Brighouse have already put in a claim for the match as Thornton were unable to produce any i.d. cards prior to the match. The matter will most likely be dealt with at the next Pennine League management meeting on 13th October.

Rangers Draw Heavy Woollen Side |

At last night's Pennine League meeting Brighouse Rangers were drawn at home to Heavy Woollen & District side Thornhill Trojans A in the Pennine League - Andrew Bennett Memorial Trophy. It will be the first time Rangers have met the Division Two side for four seasons, and the match in the cup that involves teams from Divisions Two to Four is scheduled to take place on Saturday 22nd November.
